‘Tis the Season to be Jolly

It is indeed the season to be jolly! Not only is it summer in the Winelands, we also have loads in store for you and your family at Blaauwklippen over the festive period.

Another reason we are rather jolly, is the recognition we received from two of the world’s most celebrated sommeliers, Marcus Del Monego and Andreas Larson. They tasted wines form fifty five South African producers blind and we were rated number six overall.

We are proud to be in the top ten!

Annual Twilight Christmas Fair

We will host our second annual Christmas market on the 17th – 22nd December 2012. The idea surrounding the Christmas market is to bring the classical European Christmas markets to the heart of the Cape Winelands.

A delectable variety of prepared food will be on offer as well as all the tastes and aromas that trigger your senses to spark the Christmas feeling, such as ginger bread cookies, fruit cakes, cinnamon pancakes, Pfefferkuchenhaus, Christstollen, toffee apples and candy floss. The weekly Sunday market already has a diverse range of food on offer from different cultures, so there will be an interesting take on all the traditional Christmas delights from all the different cultures, from the European to Asian and of course South Africa.

A visit to the market will not be complete until you tasted the excellent wines of Blaauwklippen Vineyards, a perfect complement to the Christmas lunch.

With a diverse selection of gifts ranging from fashion items, hand crafted wooden toys, handmade candles, pottery, jewellery to name but a few, the market is the perfect venue to buy gifts for your loved ones.
