Time Marches On…

I can hardly believe we are almost in the third month of 2013! By the time you read this our White Zinfandel will be happily fermenting in the cellar and the harvest will be in full swing.

Jazz Evening

We bottled some new releases, among others the Blaauwklippen Cultivar Selection Rosé, produced from Shiraz and Zinfandel grapes. The wine is delicately styled with aromas of apple, pear and cherries and sells for R40 per bottle.

The new 2010 Vineyard Selection Cabriolet, is a seamless blend of 50% Malbec, 30% Merlot, 10% Shiraz, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine can be enjoyed now, but has excellent cellaring potential. It sells for R87 per bottle.

Enjoy the last of the late summer sunsets in the company of The Winelands Swinging Jazz Band with Klaus Baltin & friends.

On the following Wednesdays: 13th, 20th and 27th this popular ensamble will be entertaining us from 17:30 – 21:00 on the Barouche Terrace – subject to weather.

Themed market: 60’s

On the 3rd we will continue our journey through the decades of the 1900’s with a visit to the 60’s. You can expect some great hits of that era being played at the market.

Let’s Celebrate Pears

Join us on the 10th for a pear celebration. A delicious variety of food with this fruit will be on offer.

St. Patrick’s Day Doggy Walk

Seeing that St. Patrick’s Day falls on the 17th of March one of the foremost authentic Irish Bands in Cape Town, Shenanigans, will be playing at the market. Being the third Sunday of the month, the Vineyard Doggy walk will also take place. This will truly be a day for the entire family (furry ones included).

Annual Vintage Day

Pop in on the 24th at the market’s annual Vintage Day. Browse through a variety of vintage stalls ranging from antiques and collectables to vintage clothing. The best part is, the hubby won’t have any excuse not to come as some vintage car clubs will be exhibiting their cars to the public.

Celebrate Easter with us

Hop in (yes I did say hop!) on the 31st and celebrate Easter with us at the market. There will be an Easter egg hunt for the little ones to enjoy as well as a chance to meet the Eater Bunny!
