Blaauwklippen Family Market
Your Perfect Weekend Destination in Stellenbosch

Looking for the best things to do in Stellenbosch this weekend? Make your way to the Blaauwklippen Family Market– a much-loved outdoor market hosted on one of South Africa’s oldest wine estates, open every Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 to 16h00 (weather permitting).

Nestled beneath centuries-old oak trees and surrounded by vineyards, the market offers a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Enjoy live music, indulge in street food from local vendors, and sip on our award-winning Blaauwklippen wines as you take in the beautiful surroundings.

Explore a thoughtfully curated mix of artisan and lifestyle stalls, featuring everything from handmade crafts and home décor to fashion, jewellery, and unique gifts. Kids can enjoy safe outdoor play while adults relax with a glass of wine and great food.

Whether you're a local in Stellenbosch or visiting the Winelands for the weekend, the Blaauwklippen Family Market offers the perfect blend of community spirit, local flavour, and authentic wine estate experiences.

Unfortunately, Blaauwklippen is not pet-friendly. Our decision to implement a 'no pet' policy was based on the comfort and safety of our visitors. We recognised that some individuals, especially children, may feel uncomfortable around dogs. As a result, we made this choice to ensure that everyone can enjoy their time at Blaauwklippen without any concerns.

In addition, bringing any animals onto the food premises would be considered a violation of regulation 10(a) of the Regulations Governing General Hygiene Requirements for Food Premises and the Transport of Food, R638 of 22 June 2018. The regulation refers:

(10) an animal, subject to the provisions of any law, is not kept or permitted in a room or area where food is handled, except that-

(a) a guide or service dog accompanying a person with a disability may be permitted in the sales or serving area of the food premises;

This office can thus not condone a food premises to be declared or used as a so called “pet-friendly area/environment”.
